Tirupati Airport
Tirupati Airport, also known as Renigunta Airport, is located at Renigunta in Chittoor district in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. The airport is 14 km from Tirupati city.
==Garuda terminal==
A new integrated terminal referred to as ''Garuda Terminal'' is constructed beside the existing domestic terminal in an area of 16,500 sq.m. at a cost of 175 crores. The glass and steel structure can handle 500 domestic and 200 International Passengers at a time. The building is energy efficient and has been built with eco-friendly materials like fly ash bricks and low-heat gain glass. LED lighting and energy efficient chillers further improve its efficiency, giving the building a 4 star rating. The parking lot can accommodate 300 cars. The foundation stone for the Terminal was laid in October 2010 by Manmohan Singh, the then Prime Minister of India. Construction began in 2012, and the terminal was inaugurated on 22 October 2015 by present Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.
